  I couldn’t finish the book. It was to descriptive; a lot of times for no reason. I really wanted to finish it but just couldn’t. She’s a nice lady so I’m going to read her other books but this one just didn’t do it for me.

  what are you (asante) talking about…this book was great…i couldnt put it down. The more detales in a book the better. There is no such thing as too much details, if it had any less detail it would be an essay and not a book.

  Always remember in life, the Sequel will never amount to the Original… It is either going to be better, or worse. True to the Game was a hard story to follow-up on, so I have to give it to Ms. Teri! She did an AWESOME job… For me, my story isn’t too far from Gena’s (with the exception of having a rich boyfriend whose dead, and left me with Millions! lol). So I understood Gena going back to the hood when she was being followed, it feels safer IN the battlefield with your armor on and your ear to the streets, oppose to being secluded in the suburbs! In the middle of nowhere! Moreover, she was only doing what any other hood girl would do with dough… shopping and dealing with niggas! It is apart of our culture. (Not that I am glamorizing it, it’s the truth)

  However, I do wish she would have elaborated a little more on Gena and Jerrells relationship, that all went somewhat fast for me. They went from, Gena just getting her place, to Jerrell about to kill her! Teri did not make it clear why he was killing her that night, he did not even know for sure if she had the money! Therefore, if he did, he still would not have the dough. In addition, I think it would have been nice if Teri ‘d touched more on the topic whether or not Tyrik was going to rob his bestfriends (Quadir) wife just to get on his feet! (Cold ass dude, I think he was!). Nevertheless, OMG! I was in tears to learn that qua is STILL Alive! I could NOT believe it! It all made sense to me! When Quadir died in the first installment, he gave Gena the keys, he knew that was the way to get her to get the money and get out of town! Therefore, he could follow her and they continue their lives together without the beef and the police and the media! He could have his love, and she could have him… I am really in tears! Either I love Quadir a little TOO much, or this is a story that gets better every time I think about it!

  I wish teri could speed up on true to the game 3 because i just read part 2 and it was greattt. I truly think i’m your biggest fan.

  I really could not get into the book all the way i really didnt have time. how in the hell is q still alive i just dine get it. i knew this because i read books form back to front dont ask its just the way that i read. but i will getting third part i just have to have all three

  Did ya’ll lose ur minds “True to the game I and II” were great. I wasnt gonna read part II cause most sequels dont compare to the orginal but i was wrong part II made me fall in love with gene and Quadir’s lvoe affair all over again. I was in tears literally went Quadir came back. I knew it couldnt end like that, their love was too real.. Hurry up part III,

  true to the game was one of the best books i have put my hands. A friend gave it to me and i finished it in 2 days. It was like i could not put it down

  Well Well Well, the end of the year is near and I’ve finished another book in 1 day. True to the Game II, I have been waiting for this book since I read True to the Game. I’ve been on many different websites for book reviews and I just want to say that regardless of the negativity of the book I really enjoyed it. New Characters are brought into Gina’s life and there are some old characters that you will remember also. It just goes into details as far as Gina is concerned and some new discoveries that will have you going WHAT!!!!!!! LOL(I am trying not to give it away). That’s why I’m carefully choosing my words..LOL. The end and excerpt of True to the Game III will have you definitely thinking WTF. Yeah it’s like that. If you are looking for True to the Game II under Triple Crown Productions. That’s not going to happen either, I’m wondering if it has anything to do with Dutch I and II. If you’ve been on her website Teri Woods then you know what I’m speaking of. Anyway True to the Game II go and get it. Keep Reading my fellow Book Heads!

  True to the Game 2 was just an eye opening experience…. Gena and Quadir are the most fullest hood love affair of all time. There would never be another book of characters to compare to those two. But the kicker is in True to the Game 3 at the ending…Gena see Quadir but can’t believe…I agree with every one else…I was in tears also. But!! Who is Senorita Hopkins???Quadir is living with another woman. Is Quadir the rootless killer or the mystery woman in part two. Also where did Quadir get money from like to that..if he left Gena the keys. She had over twenty million stash…Was Quadir holding or living a secret life. Why Rik?? Didn’t get farther in Gena’s head…the the part 3 is going to be the book of all time. Futhermore, Why Quadir fake his death anyway, things was looking up for him…he let Gena suffer. But are they going to get back together…or Did he save her to get his money back than Kill her????????

  Wow, i had never read a book and got into it the way i did. I’m a teacher and i took the book to work and got pissed when i had to put it down. My husband got me hooked on the book. It is the bomb, Thanks Terri! I’m ready for 3

  true to the game II was good in the begining but the closer it got to the end thats when it really started to have me like damn why cant i read any faster!! and i’ve read all the comments and reviews that people have left about the book and their ideas and questions but one thing that everybody seems to be forgetting is that Gena did find about her “father” killing her mother and her “uncle” comming back into the picture!! Doesn’t anyone want to know if her uncle is really her father?? it seems like everybody got so caught up in quadir showing back up and another woman being mentioned that their forgetting about that little situation!! I think that gena’s uncle is gonna end up being her father and i really wanna know who this woman is thats living with this mr. smith and i wanna if mr. smith is quadir and if so WHYYY is the maid calling this woman mr. smith’s girlfriend. If quadir is messing around on gena ill jump in that book and beat his ass myself !!! lol

  OH YEAH and did anybody else take notice that when gena and jerell were fighting he kicked her in her stomach.. i think she’s going to lose that baby maybe she’ll have quadir’s baby instead!!

  I havenyt had the time to read a book in about 5 years, but let me tell you, my sister is a avid reader, and she handed me part one and two, and let me tell you, i started them on saturday night, and i finshed both by monday evening. i couldn’t put it down. i went to sleep with it and woke up with it. hurry up on part three!… do yall really think its quadir at the end of three? i have to see how she continues this story! yo go girl!

  I am so happy that Qua ia alive too. B/ that book left me hanging. & Rita u r not the only one to notice that the maid said that mr.smith was ms. hopkins boyfriend b/c when I read that I was like what. I think that Gena is going to lose the baby too.

  OMG….I WAS SO INTO TRUE TO THE GAME 2 AND I READ IT TWICE. BUT THE END WAS LIKE IS IT QUA OR ISNT. IM SO CONFUSED CUS I REMEMBER THE PAIN GENA FELT LYING ON TOP OF HIS DEAD BODY IN THE HOSPITAL IN PART 1. SO TERI, WHO IS MR. SMITH AND MS. HOPKINS? I NEED TO KNOW. I AM ABOUT TO GO BACK AND READ PART 1 CUS I WANNA KNO IF ITS ONE OF HIS BESTFRIENDS HE TOLD TO WATCH GENA’S BACK OR IF IT A DIRTY COP TRYING TO GET HER/QUA’S MONEY? MAYBE QUADIR HAD A TWIN OR WAS IT A BODY DOUBLE? BUT WHY PUT GENA THRU SO MUCH PAIN? PLEASE BRING TRUE TO THE GAME 3 ASAP.

  I think that if Mr. Smith is Quadir he has his baby momma with him. As for Gena, I also think that her uncle is her daddy. That would explain why he was letting her stay in his apartments for free.

  I READ TRUE TO THE GAME PART 1 AND ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH QUADIR AND GINA’S RELATIONSHIP AND LOVE LIFE. THE BOOK WAS SO GOOD I WAS LITERALLY GLUED TO IT. WHEN QUADIR DIED I REALY CRIED. THE SEQUEL WAS ALSO REALLY GOOD EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT THINK IT AMOUNTED TO PART 1 BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD. IM ANTICIPATING READING PART 3 IM HYPE TO KNO WAS THAT QUADIR AT THE END DID HE COME BAQQ AND IF HE DID THANK YOU TERI WOODS LOL U MADE MY LIFE SO MUCH BETTER

  It took me forever to read ”True To The Game” because likewise I felt it was too descriptive at times, but it has a very good plot, one that keeps you guessing and wanting more. However I on the contrary found the sequel better than the first. I dont think Mr. Smith is gonna be Quadir it’ll be too predictable.

  I have read both books. They both were excellent, you can’t really compare which was better. i am just waiting impatiently for part 3 like everyone else. i am not a book reader, but my sis in law put me down with these books and now im addicted.

  I really enjoyed both books and can not wait for the return of the third one I was so shocked at the end to discover the third book would not be out until July 2008. I read both books in two days so hopefully thwe third book will livew up to my expectations because I’am waiting inpatiently.

  omg!!! teri if your reading this you need to make a movie.im so not a reader one of my co-wprkers gave me the book t read on a monday. i started part 1 on a tuesday was done on wensday bought part 2 on thursday and was done on friday. i so cant wait for 3. i knew he wasnt dead and let me tell you when he died people at my job was laughing @ me bekuz i was @ my desk crying like he was my man. but when some one comes into er they dnt call ahead and names they just give the status of the person. so when the doctor asked for him by name i knew that was fishy. but she was @ the funeral??? i so cant wait for 3 its killig me. will she keep jerrells baby? who is this chick he’s living with? where are they?omg !!!I CANT WAIT!!!!

  I CAN WAIT FOR III I WAS SO MAD WHEN TWO ENDED THE WAY IT DID I NOW I HAVE TO WAIT . I DONT KNOW HOW PEOPLE SAID THAT THEY COULDN’T READ PART II HELL I COULDNT PUT IT DOWN TERRI U GET TWO TUMBS NO YOU GET ALL TEN FINGERS AND ALL TEN TOES UP!!!   OMG!!! First of all I didn’t even know pt.2 existed up until a few weeks ago, and once I got my hands on it…talk about the BEST few hrs of my life!!! I couldn’t put that book down, an even when I had to, I couldn’t wait to pick it back up. I’m just holding my breath for pt.3, it’s not being released fast enough!
