Cally, Serena and Nola are smart, assertive women who are all on the “come-up.” They want things in their own way, and that goes for relationships. Each of them has a personal reason why a boyfriend would not fit into her life plans at the moment. The girls are happy despite the fact that their meddling mothers can’t understand why don’t want to settle down.

When their younger cousin’s wedding approaches, rather than show up without dates and be ridiculed by the family, the girls come up with a plan – find men to pose as their boyfriends. Cally takes a successful doctor, Steven Bradford; Serena takes her high school crush, James Baker; and Nola find Mark Riley, an attorney in her firm. Their plan is foolproof and no one will get hurt – or so they think.

Have the girls found themselves in over their heads with this plan? What happens when love finds you when you least expect it?
