I was really feelin this book! this really expressed how things were for the young black male struggling in the early 90s! I did not wanna stop putting the book down and I really hope there is some kind of part two to this story

Having recently finished my first novel, (found at nikkinin.com) I found myself rediscovering the black interest books that I grew up reading. The good books, the real books. I was a Terri McMillan, Michael Baisden, Toni Morrison type of girl. I always remember how deep those books were. Even if the stories were complete fiction, the characters were going through real drama.

Nowadays I read stuff and i almost immediately put it back down. I dont know. Im only 23 years old. I dont want to say "back in my day", because realistically, my day was yesterday. Lol. But, shoot, back in my day books were better. Native son by Richard Wright gave me nightmares for weeks. Carl Weber was an early favorite of mine as well.

Part of the reason these books appealed to me is because of the lingo. Sometimes in life you have to speak properly, and although I can function very well having to articulate as if educated, I'm more comfortable saying "yo," and wassup". I think these urban lit books made it ok to write and read a story where language wasnt grammatically correct.

With that being said I'm also excited at delving deeper into these authors who I have never heard of. 1722: Moll Flanders. I didnt know it went back that far.

I have heard nothing but great reviews about this novel Don Divas, I would love to have it in my KINDLE collection of great novels, and I am dying to read it. Will that happen soon? I know someone who has it on her KINDLE and is willing to let me borrow, but 2 be honest I'd like my own. Twenty First Street/Keisha Howard.. I am not alone on this.

Please let me know when it will be available on Amazon....thx

WOW! I LOVE all the Thug series books. I don't agree that Kyron should be the father of Tasha's baby (sorry y'all). I'm an optimistic and if she is pregnant I want it to be her husband's. They really have been through too much together to go out like that. Trae if FIIIIINNNNNEEEE so of course the ladies are going ogle and the same with Tasha, but they have a family and I hope Ms. Clark shows in this next book that truly "Every thug needs a lady" and they get their family right. As for the Marvin, Kyra should still amongst the crew, so I hope he get what he deserves. I'd like Jaz and Faheem to be a little more active and OF COURSE, MY baby Kaylin and beautiful Angel need NO alteration!!!! IF they start having issues, PLEASE Wahida, send Kaylin my way I'll solve EVERYTHING for him; or at least attempt to :)

It was a good book...i finished it in a matter of hours so it was definately a page turner but my only problem was that there was a lot of grammer errors (left out words or transposed words), making it a bit harder to read at times. It almost seems as if the book never went to edit.

Loved your book

I have read all of them thus far. Please keep Gillian and Frankie together. But, let her get so big that Frankie starts to feel inferior to her and having him wishing for his wife. Please let the wife move on, loose some weight and have had a baby by a legit(lawyer perhaps) and frankie needs help but the only person he can trust is his ex wife, so she may or may not help him with a lawyer. Not sure how I want Misa siutation to turn out or Barons or Octavias or Doms...Please dont let the ugly guy be captin save a hoe for toya...shes to bad for that but let her know that shes missing out on a good thing if she keeps playing him. PLEASE COME OUT WITH THE FOLLOW UP THIS YEAR!
